Les Mills  - Become a Les Mills Instructor

In order to train to become a certified Les MillsTMinstructor in the Middle East or India, It's necessary to attend initial training modules and demonstrate competence in a number of areas before becoming a certified instructor. The training varies from program to program, see details below.

Qualifications & Requirements
Les MillsTM instructors require a level 2 industry qualification which includes a written component of anatomy and physiology or a fitness qualification in the discipline of Exercise to Music (Level 2) .This qualification could include MEFITPRO's latest certification courses: G.E.L (Group Exercise Leader) which is exercise to music or FIT-Q (Personal Training) certificates. For the Les MillsTM programs exercise to music is prerequisite.

To certify as a Les MillsTMInstructor
To become certified you must first complete your initial training. Up on successful completion of the training you will need to send in a video of you teaching a full class in your chosen program. You will have up to 16 weeks after your training to send this in. Once you have passed the video portion, you will then become a fully certified Les Mills TMinstructor.

Les MillsTMprograms are recognized worldwide and the certification you receive in the Middle East and India allows you to teach at any clubs in the world that holds the appropriate license.

Process
Prospective instructors attend two training modules where they receive training in five key elements of successful instruction: Choreography, Techniques, Coaching, Connection and Fitness Magic. Competence in all elements is imperative, as excellence will promote an instructor to an outstanding level.

Affiliation
A written confirmation from the club stating that the instructor will have a regular class on the studio timetable at the venue should be forwarded to the Les MillsTM department, before a place on a training course can be confirmed.

Licensing
All Les MillsTMprogrammes are club driven and instructors must be affiliated to a club that either currently holds an agreement to operate the appropriate programme or has returned their licence agreement to the Training Department. The instructor must agree with the studio coordinator/club that they will train under their designated club banner and will be offered a regular class to teach on completion of the training.
